There was once a saying that went, ya'll cain't fight city hall. The same goes for these hardly dry behind the ears college kids that work at such places as Google, FaceBook, or even Twitter. Seems as much as one wants to change the stuff you put up on blogs etc, there are limitations. The entire idea of the Internet was an open free exchange of information without limitations. In fact it was to be without censorship, or outside editing. Your stuff ought to be , well, YOURS. Or your group or what have you. Not be subject to a ball and chain of some mega company , but hey, what do you do? Can't buy em out and if you want something different put together your own site. Trouble is we been trying to find someone ANYONE to design and build our Confederate style go trucking(toewing) site.
Okay then:
The Miss Dixie Diesel project gets under way next month. The radio station goes LIVE next month, and the Dixie-Diesel/Hazzard Nationals(DukesFestWest) gets on the boards next month.
Now I need to say something here, and I'm not chickening out here. But overnight ever since that spider bit me in the nuts, and got me awake, the idea of going ahead with that place down on west main in Burley , considering expenses versus immediate return, might not be in our best interest. Thinking on keeping things here at the Rode House, working up my going toewing gig, along with doing club bizz and radio bizz part time, then when up to speed , then get a place downtown, if infact we want to be here at all, in a year.
Not saying no on downtown Burley, just being careful here.
Any mile we are in run mode so lets haul it.
